剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     近些年来的发展，当然除开一些地区的持续倒退，同性议题本身也足够明显得向着多元化发展，并且亚裔角色作为主要内容的题材，意义更是具有节点性，肉眼可见的涉猎内容的多态性，也更加对于未来的电影生态充满好奇，当然没有说某些地区。

Pride and Prejudice in Fire Island.虽然狠狠地套了Jane Austen的壳，但是在层出不穷逐渐疲软的gay comedy中，本片依然凭借出色的screenwriting带来了许多亮点。很多非常niche却极为relatable的queer insider jokes,以及从The Ethical Slut到Alice Munro这样看似pretentious但依然有着nodding to the literature gays的温柔.对于男同性恋社群内部问题，identity crisis,以及Asianess in gay culture的探讨，相对轻盈却保持了足够细腻，配合不能再酷的queer OST实在太棒了
