三星半。对电影的热爱的部分让人动容，但糟糕的人生也不是电影就可以化解的。
北京电影节打卡。男主这种男人竟然还能娶到老婆就离谱。片子搞笑的地方还挺搞笑的，结尾还是挺妙的。
BJIFF2021 爱情和电影梦想都无法共情，老年苏打的戏都看得很生气。为苏打和片尾曲加一星。
老山田失手了。本片配不上这个名字。“神”在何处？剧情的“神转折”，抑或是人物的“神”逻辑？

对一个人心智的摧残竟然会比身体上的折磨更让人痛苦。
浓浓的怀旧感，几个主要人物的形象还是有些苍白。
原著中没有妻子这个人物设定，茨威格身为犹太人，一生饱尝精神迫害和流离失所。

跟小说角度不同，结尾不同，整个故事也变成了男主的一个幻想。电影里男主被送到了奥地利的疯人院，象棋书内的照片也似乎就是那个象棋冠军，一切都可能是男主臆想出来的，可见纳粹对一个精神健全性格开朗拥有教养的一个人的精神与身体的冷酷摧残。小说很短，可以找来看看，做做比较。我更喜欢小说。象棋冠军利用并诱使男主的精神崩溃，以及男主人公最后又渐渐恢复了彬彬有礼，让人不寒而栗。
但是除了男主别的都是纸片人。
山田洋次到现在还在拍电影厉害了，咩酱全片之光
看着很舒服。电影能让人重新拥有年轻，再或者说，是理想需要年轻。只有年轻才会有胡思乱想和天马行空，才会无所畏惧，一个怀念过去的故事。真美好，希望我在年老走的时候，也能有那么一个人呼唤我到年轻时的片场。因为有了电影，所以一切更像是一个漫长的梦了。
