The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 风格很棒，应该是新版蝙蝠侠梦寐以求的，打斗也很好看，只是故事太单薄，甚至有时让人怀疑是不是经过大量删减
怎么能放弃故事，转而把毒液的角色魅力放大，只是话痨又傲娇，并未展现更深层次的鲜明个性。其他角色像是工具人，没有更多的东西展开。
什么垃圾玩意，拍成耽美文了么这是。第一部就够烂的，这部更是看时长就知道发行方没信心。毒液在这个宇宙里搞得很拧巴，明明是非常暴力的邪恶怪物，却连吃人都那么纠结，毒液简直就像一名自由创作者，而汤老师就是审查机构。只有屠杀救女友那段能依稀嗅出一些伍迪哈里森当年天生杀人狂的劲儿来。
2.0。说是97分钟，其实正片也就是80分钟出头，在如今体量的超英电影里，看似不拖泥带水是优点，但所有情节都浮光掠影，反而因为重点全无导致像是看了集80分钟的肥皂剧，瑟金斯在催着观众收工一样。五句台词三句平淡两句弱智，就这一点即使不谈剧情也足够把《毒液2》扔进不及格电影堆堆里去了（话说这两三年除了《自杀小队：全员集结》真的没什么拿得出手的超英电影啊、pps：包括《复联4》、《正义联盟导演剪辑版》和《蜘蛛侠:英雄远征》，不是说不好，也就那样吧）。

感觉这个故事里没有主角之外的其他人类也没问题,两个毒液为了生存直接上来干架不也挺好,女反派的能力很有趣,很可惜
延续第一部的轻松搞笑风格，加了点身份认同冲突，挺不错的合家欢爆米花大片，搞不懂评分为什么这么低。看这种片不就是图个乐吗，难道还要他有思想深度？
原本期待的屠杀和毒液很失望，毒液1之所以大火在于定位中立英雄，亦正亦邪加上好的剧本，2则在剧本上过于老套的走原本超级英雄的路线，拍档离开，恋人离开等桥段太简答，缺少核心剧情，高潮部分更是除了VS啥也没有。

真挺难看的，只能当成汤汤演的小鸡片看看，同居密友帮忙捯饬打扮追女孩，还为他打抱不平，在汤心碎后手忙脚乱给做饭哄开心，俩人互相说了一些过分的话，各自伤心，遇到危机前女友帮忙撮合俩人和好，从“你瞅你那个熊样”到“你爱我我爱你蜜雪冰城甜蜜蜜”，小鸡片，pure小鸡片
