The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 情节偏简单，小男主演技也青涩，老爷子精神矍铄
真是一部老爷子对自己意淫的作品啊，都90岁了还有美女想睡他，还有美女真正爱他😂
这部有失水准了，有些失望，不过毕竟老爷子也九十多了，还能演骑马戏也是够拼了。

牛仔老了 真的太不容易了 这么大岁数还在拍
温情柔软，哪怕里面的冲突场面也看不到狠劲儿，这种已看不到什么野心的片子对东木来讲真的是当乐趣在做吧…年过九十的老爷子还能一年一次奉献出自己对电影的热爱，这会带来比电影本身更多的感动。
九十而随心所欲，拍电影终于不再是为了拍电影。
把政治隐喻和东木情怀揉进一个公路片，编剧实在太狡猾了

剧情平铺直叙少亮点，叙事节奏也比较温吞，故事展现得很温柔，也可以看出作为年老牛仔的东木想展示的表达。牛仔迟暮，但是雄心仍旧。
平静舒缓的叙事节奏，流淌出淡淡人生的心灵之旅，对老东木不能再苛求什么，唯愿他身体无恙，能够拍出自己想拍的任何作品。
老牛仔留了下来
东木老爷子真的老了，颤颤巍巍的动作，微弱的声线表现片子本身的弱冲突和人物身上的无力感，不如说是老爷子自己的无力感，这就像人生，你觉得自己什么都懂，老了却发现，自己什么事都没有答案
结局很像东木为自己电影生涯画上的句点，一个美妙到刻板、不真实的墨西哥童话故事。
比预期要好，东木的影片向来情感真挚，可总少不了一丝说教味，在车上与男孩的对话是一种自嘲，对于牛仔/硬汉精神开始进行思考，在精神上有了一丝突破，期待他今后的创作方向。
