The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 3星，本片改编自 圆桌骑士里比较有名的一段故事《高文与绿骑士》，场景布局讲究尽显骑士浪漫情怀。故事改编后有点故弄玄虚强行加戏的感觉，把寓言故事拍成了一个文艺片。但寓言故事表达的精神没变，整体观感尚可，可以看看。

The first part in B/W could be seen as a journey to bid his brother a moving adieu by transporting the ashes of Pirandello, whose works have been adapted by the brothers, to his Sicilian homeland. Whereas the second part in color is quite confusing for us who have never read the story before. The shift from grey to color is poetic though

很重的土腥味和书卷气。神秘不足、符号过多，如果能延续开篇几十秒的火焰…整个电影都会燃烧起来！鬼魅浮生是导演偶得佳作么？！
电影本身又严肃又可爱，就像一个老先生站在你面前，你本以为他要用大道理教训你，没想到他讲到最后却是一个童话故事。骑士最后一刻如果选择软弱，即使能够当上国王也终究是一个再平凡不过的普通人，只有他知道他的骑士精神已经被自己辱没了。既然人终有一死，不妨大胆一点去迈向你的使命，成为你最想成为的那种人。

6.5 一则寓言故事，骑士的试炼。考验意志，品质，德行。开放结局留白，视听俱佳。美学风格独特，阴郁的氛围提升电影气质，节奏有点过于冗长，有精美外壳但无实质内核。
